There is a state of wellbeing that lives within each of us. It is the sadhana or spiritual practice of living in harmony with nature’s pulse that helps us to evoke this innate sense of physical, emotional and spiritual balance.
Using ayurveda, I’ll guide you toward a refreshing way of self-care that establishes lasting wellbeing. Our approach is entirely holistic; including daily rituals, wholesome foods, mindful eating, yoga, meditation, herbs and breathwork to treat the body, mind and spirit as the unified being that it is.
This is not a quick fix program or crash diet or temporary cover up of imbalances, but a journey of finding your own unique expression of physical, emotional, and spiritual balance.
Our work together can help with:
Digestion, gas and bloating
Menstrual cycle and menopause imbalances
Stress and insomnia
Anxiety and mood swings
Constipation and IBS
Lethargy and sluggishness
Weight loss and detoxification
Acne and skin imbalances
Ayurvedic Bodywork Therapies
Abhyanga: Ayurvedic Full Body Oil Treatment
Abhyanga is a relaxing, light-touch ayurvedic oil treatment. Rhythmic in nature, it helps to restore the body’s natural flow of energy. Abhyanga encourages the elimination of toxins by improving lymphatic and arterial circulation, and rejuvenates the body by promoting the regeneration of organs and tissues. Abhyanga calms the nervous system and soothes away stress, leaving you feeling grounded.
Shirodhara: Third Eye Therapy
One of ayurveda’s most divine bodywork treatments, shirodhara is a deeply relaxing experience wherein warm herbal oil is rhythmically streamed across the forehead. This technique stimulates both the pituitary gland and the third eye, calming the nervous system, releasing stress and negative emotions, improving sleep, and heightening spiritual awareness.
Udvartana: Herbal Powder Treatment
An herbal powder treatment, udvartana gives a feeling of lightness. Grain or legume flours are mixed with herbs and vigorously, rhythmically rubbed over the body and toward the heart. While this does exfoliate and beautify the skin, its main purpose is to stimulate the lymphatic system to encourage the elimination of toxins. Udvartana opens the pores, dissolves subcutaneous fat, and removes blockages so that the vata dosha (one of three internal energies) can move freely.
